There's so much more to Harry Styles than his heart throbbing looks! Former One Direction member, singer/song-writer Harry Styles, has branched off as a solo artist after the bands break up. Since then he's had one self titled album: he incorporates multiple genres in every song. Although the mix on genres is evident in all the tracks,"Only Angel" stood out the most to me because of the extreme shift in sound. The song starts off with a slow peaceful evangelical sound, and features a voice talking about angels. It's a beautiful heavenly sound that you'd imagine to hear on your way to the sky. It may not be necessarily considered christian or religious, however there's definitely a touch. The song does a complete 360 and turns into rock with evident guitar and drums. Between the "hey hey", "woo hoos", and the girl with a wild lifestyle he sings about, you could say there's a heavy influence of rock. The fact that he is singing makes the song a bit pop, along with the structure; verse, pre-chorus, chorus, second verse, etc. What a pretty song, by such pretty boy. Rock on solo Harry.
