The Lion King, Interstellar, Inception, The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean... If you've watched any of the movies I just listed, then you've already experienced the greatness that Hans Zimmer has blessed the world with.
Hans Zimmer, one of the greatest film score composers of all time!! He has created legendary soundtracks for many legendary movies. One movie that never fails to blow my mind every time I watch it, not only with its story and visuals, but also with the amazing music that accompanies them is Inception. With his brilliant techniques, Zimmer enchants your mind into this film about dreams within dreams. It is safe to say, that Zimmer plays a great role in the impact of a film on a person. He makes sure the soundtrack playing within the movie reflects the emotions and overall vibe of every single scene.
Being able to enter other people's dreams and fall into many dreams within other dreams, characters of Inception can fall into a dangerous place called Limbo. Once in Limbo, a person forgets the real world and believes that limbo is in fact the real world. In order to not get too deep into dreams and avoid being stuck in limbo, the characters play a song that acts like an alarm. The song originally being Edith Piaf's “Non, je ne Regrette Rien”. Although Zimmer wasn't the original creator of this song, he manipulated and reconstructed the song to fit the encompassing theme of the film perfectly, (Kim, ifc).
Without a doubt, listening to the soundtrack of Inception, fans of the movie can definitely get the same chills as they do when watching it.
